In order to help your monkeys in battle, you can place down your hero. A hero is a type of special monkey that levels up as the game progresses [maxes out at level 20]. Currently there are 12 unique heroes to choose from.
These include:
- Quincy.
- Gwendolin.
- Striker Jones.
- Obyn Greenfoot.
- Psi.
- Captain Churchill.
- Benjamin.
- Ezili.
- Pat Fusty.
- Adora.
- Admiral Brickell.
- Etienne.
- Sauda.
Most of them require monkey money, [BTD6’s in game currency that you earn by completing modes on different maps] but there are 4 heroes that you can unlock for free just for playing the game. The heroes are Quincy [unlock at level 1], Gwendolin [unlock at level 14], Striker Jones [unlock at level 21] and Obyn Greenfoot [unlock at level 28].
